Who We Are
The Nielsen Environmental Field School was established in 1990 by David M. Nielsen (a hydrogeologist) and Gillian L. Nielsen (a hydrologist and aquatic biologist), who together have more than 60 years of practical field experience and more than 50 years of International teaching experience. Our goal is to provide environmental professionals with the highest level of practical, hands-on environmental field training to help them advance their careers. Our philosophy is the best way to learn field skills is to "learn by doing" from professionals who teach up-to-date technologies and methodologies in a clear and logical manner. Our training programs earn the highest praise from the toughest critics - your colleagues and peers. Read the testimonials of hundreds of past students to see why our courses are second to none.
